The work areas
In order to set up a camp in dimensions such as “FarbenmEEHr – experiencing diversity”, there must be a good organisational structure. We expect a similar number of participants as in the Landesjamboree 2007, so we calculate in the size of a small town like Bammenthal, Dornhan or Immenstaad. Therefore, in addition to the camp management and the meeting of the team managers, there are the divisions, some of which are still divided into subdivisions. Those are your contact persons in all matters
The IT department takes care of the programming of the registration tool, the central working medium, the Nextcloud, e-mail distribution and the IT infrastructure on the camp itself.
The Content department plans the entire central program and the thematic background of the camp. They are responsible for the weekly schedule and the coordination of all offers. They have thought up the history and the framework of “FarbenmEEHr – Experience Diversity”. In addition to that, they bring into play topics such as ecology, environmental protection, a just society, openness to the world and diversity.
6,000 people need water, toilets, energy and much more to satisfy their daily needs. The Infrastructure department with its subdivisions communication, logistics, materials, electricity, water/sanitation and site organization is facing up to this task. Important: As a participant you have to take care of what you take with you (tents, kitchen utensils, tools, …) and how you get your luggage and equipment on the site.
The Catering department, which is divided into two sub-areas, will take care of your physical well-being. One sub-area is responsible for staff catering. During the camp, they cook for and pamper all central staff. Including the subcamp teams, of course. The second sub-area takes care of the food supply for all participants. During the camp you can get your food from them.
Scouting – that means fun, adventures, friends, campfires and something different for everyone. But above all: it means having a good time together! For scouting to be a great experience for everyone, we must be mindful of each other, aware of our boundaries and respectful of limitations of others. Boundary protection, prevention of sexualized violence and prevention of violation of boundaries are important topics in the rdp as well as at the FarbenmEEHr. Because of that the prevention department (Breakwater) attends to measures related to the topic of prevention of sexualized violence before and during the camp.
Just think, it’s FarbenmEEHr and nobody’s going… To prevent this from happening, the Public Relations department manages the “FarbenmEEHr” website and social media channels. It is also responsible for press relations, information booklets, layout orders and much more. Needless to say, its work does not stop when the camp begins. With videos, pictures and texts the team wants to capture the camp for the world around us and for posterity.
Administration and Finance
A large camp like this requires not only many diligent helping hands but also some financial resources. The Administration and Finance department provides support in close coordination with our business manager and accountant. Of course, 6,000 people must also be coordinated and sorted. From the moment you have registered, the department will ensure that everything runs smoothly and will be your first point of contact should there be any problems or questions, even during the camp.
The team of the Security department consists of many, mostly very experienced people from all four associations. Among other things, they will ensure that you return home just as healthy after the camp as you arrived. A sanatorium for small and large problems is operated for this purpose. Apart from that, the team members keep a constant eye on the weather or are ready for you, if you need them. Before the camp they will give you tips for your safety and will be at your fingertips around the clock for questions and problems.
