Frequently asked questions

What is it about the spelling "FarbenmEEHr"?

In the name of our Ringelager there are the two aspects “sea of colors” (“Farbenmeer”) and “more colors” (“Farben mehr”).

The term “Farben mehr” (more colors) recognizes that:

  • Scouting is more than the popular cliché
  • Scouting in Baden-Wuerttemberg happens in more than just one association; it comprises a number of associations with differing emphases.
  • on site there will be a mixture of differing colors, including differing uniform and neckie colors

The term “Farben Meer” (sea of colors) recognizes that:

  • as scouts we are conscious of our environment, including the seas and oceans
  • the sea of scouts – the large number of scouts – that will be present at the camp

To emphasize this ambiguity, the letters “EEH” are capitalized in the name.

More information about the motto can be found on the page Program

What is the FarbenmEEHr2020?

FarbenmEEHr2020 is the common camp of the 7 associations in the Ring deutscher Pfadfinderinnen- und Pfadfinderverbände (rdp) in Baden-Württemberg.

These are:

  • Bund der Pfadfinderinnen und Pfadfinder e.V. (BdP), Landesverband Baden-Württemberg
  • Deutsche Pfadfinderschaft St. Georg (DPSG), Diözesanverbände Freiburg und Rottenburg-Stuttgart
  • Pfadfinderinnenschaft St. Georg (PSG), Diözesanverbände Freiburg und Rottenburg-Stuttgart
  • Verband Christlicher Pfadfinderinnen und Pfadfinder (VCP), Land Baden und Landesverband Württemberg
Isn't the BMPPD missing?

The Bund Moslemischer Pfadfinderinnen und Pfadfinder Deutschlands (BMPPD) has been a member of the rdp since 2018. At present, however, there are no state structures of the BMPPD in Baden-Württemberg, so unfortunately the BMPPD cannot participate in the preparation of the camp. Nevertheless, all groups of the BMPPD are cordially invited to participate in the FarbenmEEHr2020.

Where will the camp take place?

The camp will take place in Königseggwald, between Ravensburg and Pfullendorf.

You can find more information on this on the page Camp.

What's with the motto "FarbenmEEHr2020 - Experience diversity"?

The term “Farben mehr” (more colors) recognizes that:

  • Scouting is more than the popular cliché
  • Scouting in Baden-Wuerttemberg happens in more than just one association; it comprises a number of associations with differing emphases.
  • on site there will be a mixture of differing colors, including differing uniform and neckie colors

The term “Farben Meer” (sea of colors) recognizes that:

  • as scouts we are conscious of our environment, including the seas and oceans
  • the sea of scouts – the large number of scouts – that will be present at the camp

The building block “diversity” recognizes that:

  • scouts aim to practice openness and tolerance
  • in their associations scouts have a variety of backgrounds, ways of life and opinions
  • in our associations we don’t claim to accommodate all characteristics, but we actively consider differing positions and are open to others
  • we want to provide an opportunity for exchanges, where new things can be discovered, tried out and learned.

The building block “experience” recognizes that:

  • we are convinced that the Ringelager will be an unforgettable experience, in which every day will be an adventure
  • we want to devise an active daily camp routine, in which we can all together sense the scouting spirit.
How many other scouts will participate in the camp?

We currently expect about 6,000 Scouts to participate in the FarbenmEEHr2020.

When will the camp take place?

The camp will take place from the 3rd of August 2020 to the 13th of August 2020 in Königseggwald.

You can find more information about the program on the page Program

How much do I have to pay to participate in FarbenmEEHr 2020?

You can find the prices for the participation on the page Fees

Can I still help with the preparation of the camp?

We are currently still looking for many helpers in our departments, the sub camps and the different programs. On the page of the departments there is an email address for each department. If you are interested in working with us, just send us an email.

Can I participate in the camp as a helper?

In a camp of this size there are many tasks that have to be completed. If you want to come to the FarbenmEEHr2020 as a helper, you can indicate this when you register.

What's the deal with the sub camps?

The camp will be divided into nine sub camps. A large part of the program will take place there, e.g. singing competition preliminary decisions, stage program and election program with the tribal projects. You can find more information on this on the page Sub camps

What does the program look like at the camp?

There will be different program at the camp. On different days there will be program in the association, the age groups, the sub camps and for the whole camp. In addition, there will be a program outside the camp on the “Off-site” days. Have a look at the program page.

How does the journey to the camp work?

Of course we want to travel as environmentally friendly as possible. So there will be a train connection to the campsite. You can find more information on this on the page Camp.

How is my group fed?

With a camp of this size it is not possible to cook centrally for all participants. Therefore, each group will have to cook for itself. Since the nearest shopping facilities are further away and we want to keep traffic to and from the camp site as low as possible, food is provided centrally.

How can I register for the FarbenmEEHr 2020?

The registration phase starts on the 1st of October 2019 and runs until the 30th of April 2020. During this time, groups can register for the camp using the registration tool on the website (anmeldung.farbenmeehr2020.de). The registration for helpers proceeds via the same tool.

Is it possible to get a partner group from abroad?

For our camp we expect some groups from abroad, for which we are currently still looking for German partner groups. Just state this wish when you register your group. You can find more information on the page International

I'm not from Baden-Württemberg, can I still participate?

The FarbenmEEHr 2020 should primarily be for the scouts of Baden-Württemberg. Of course such a camp lives on as many people as possible. Groups from outside Baden-Württemberg can also participate after consultation with the camp management (lagerleitung@ringelager2020.de).

I'm a scout from a different association, can I still participate?

I’m a scout from a different association, can I still participate?

We know that besides the associations in the rdp there are many other small scout associations and groups in Germany. There are friendly contacts to some groups. If you are friends with a different group, you are welcome to inform them about the “FarbenmEEHr – Experience Diversity” and bring them with you after consultation with the camp management (lagerleitung@ringelager2020.de).
